Why won't my new Schenk 150cc scooter start by electric start or kick start?

I just bought this Thursday night. It ran great Friday, blinkers worked and electric start started. Friday night took it to go get fast food at 10p.m. at night and blinkers wouldn't stay on and made a funny noise.

It died and would only start by kick starting it. Then Saturday in the morning took it about 20-25 miles; kicked started it twice and electric start did work once.

Then my boyfriend was driving it and at a light the scooter was trying to lunge ahead with both brake hands pulled. He took the scooter to the side where it died before he got there and tried real hard to start it.

Found out no electrical, so was told to replace fuse in positive cable of battery. Replaced that and tried 8-10 times to kick start and electric start with no luck.

Then added gas, thinking it was low on gas. Tried again... no luck. When trying to kick start the scooter saw or looked like water and gas mixed together coming out of muffler.

Tried so hard to start scooter couldn't had to leave scooter since he had our 7 yr. old daughter with him and was on Pacific Coast Highway, not a good spot to be with a 7 yr.old.

Looked in the manual and maintenance books to try to find where the spark plugs are located since scooters are new to us but only found two different types or maybe the same type which is A7RTC and E7RTC.

Can someone please try to help? That is our only wheels now and we need it back on the road. I do appreciate it very much since now he feels they could be fuel fouled due to trying to kick start it so much or flooded the scooter if that's possible and from adding more gas.

Thank you very much for all your help! I would be very thankful.

Battery Tender Junior in package

A battery tender like the Battery Tender Jr. can make all the difference in whether your scooter will start right up each spring, after being stored for months.

Just about every scooter owner needs to have a battery tender, sometimes called a trickle charger. Unless you are lucky enough to live in a climate where you can ride all year long, chances are your scooter will be put on ice, figuratively-speaking, for at least a couple months every winter.

One of the key steps in winterizing a scooter is to protect your battery from draining during its "rest" period. This can – and will – happen if you leave your battery sitting untended in your cold scooter over the winter, even if it's in a garage or shed.
