Why won't my brake lights work on my yy250t Shenke scooter?

All my lights on my Shenke scooter work except for my brake lights. I have recently replaced the battery and checked all the connections I can see. I had the scooter quit on me while riding it and the battery was dead.
Had it checked and was all o.k. I put it back in my scooter and now my brake lights do not work. I have checked all fuses and they are good. I could not find any bad wires when I inspected them from the switches.
Help please!! I love the scooter but can't ride without brake lights.

I'm Back!
Yes, I have been noticeably absent from the site the past few months. I recently lost my mother to a long battle with COPD and was subsequently plagued with a bunch of minor health problems. But I'm better now & back full swing.
