What are the cords that connect the spark plugs to the batteries called, and where would i get one?

I have two Peace sports scooters. I went to start up one and it didn't give me anything, so I tried the other, same story. So I went to take the batteries out of them and trickle charge them, and one was extremely corroded.
So I tried to take it out anyways, when I moved the battery the cord connecting the spark plugs to the battery fell off at the metal ring that the screw goes through. Also, on the other scooter, I trickle charged that battery and put it back in no problems, except for that now it won't give me anything just like before.
Could that battery be dead for good? And is there any way to salvage the first scooter?
