Roketa MC-02-50B Scooter Review

by Eric

I bought this for my wife... the scooter was purchased for $150.00... all the plastic was in good shape and it had about 8 thousand miles on it, but the motor had been rebuilt.

The young man who I purchased the scooter from said it would not start and had left him stranded. Upon careful inspection and removal of the seat on the scooter, the one way gas valve was installed backwards and was not allowing the fuel to continue on to the carburetor.

Upon changing this to the correct position, the scooter runs great. I did put full synthetic oil in the scoot thanks to the great reviews on this site.

My wife loves this scoot and it performs well. I will agree with the review folks on here that with proper maintenance, you will have a good experience with a Chinese scooter, but if you do not have a mechanical background or a good mechanic to do the routine maintenance, you are probably not going to have the best experience.

We bought ours from a rental store selling older models. We have been able to use it daily, and add oil every month- and that is just a tablespoon. We are very satisfied- although we have a couple reputable scooter mechanics around, and my fiance is very mechanical. We just want to buy a spare, wheel/tire, so if there would be a flat we could possibly change it along the road- still looking online for step-by step for changing the wheel. I do not have streaming internet or i would check Youtube. I am presently curious * which quick tire patch would be best, and then to pump air into the tire with a hand pump-maybe that will be the 'fix it' tire solution.
But for now, after 500+ miles & 2 months daily usage- we LUV it.

Thanks for sharing this review, Eric. I moved it here to Chinese scooters reviews from the page you'd entered it on, because it is not a profile for joining the Indiana chapter of our online scooter club.

Glad to hear your wife is having fun with her "new" Roketa scooter!

Battery Tender Junior in package

A battery tender like the Battery Tender Jr. can make all the difference in whether your scooter will start right up each spring, after being stored for months.

Just about every scooter owner needs to have a battery tender, sometimes called a trickle charger. Unless you are lucky enough to live in a climate where you can ride all year long, chances are your scooter will be put on ice, figuratively-speaking, for at least a couple months every winter.

One of the key steps in winterizing a scooter is to protect your battery from draining during its "rest" period. This can – and will – happen if you leave your battery sitting untended in your cold scooter over the winter, even if it's in a garage or shed.

Read our review or go right to Amazon.com to buy this highly recommended Battery Tender Jr NOW...

Chances are, there is a good reason. Did you...
