How hard is it to learn how to make right and left turns on a scooter?

I'm thinking of buying a Vespa 150cc scooter just for local riding, I live in the suburbs so not that much traffic. But I'm wondering how hard it will be to learn to make turns on it? Thanks Al
Answer: Al, if you're really worried about basic riding skills, I highly encourage you to take a motorcycle or scooter safety class. I provide some links here:

But, personally, I didn't find it hard at all to learn how to turn. You just turn the handlebars. No need, really, to lean on a scooter, like you do on a motorcycle.

Yes, I have been noticeably absent from the site the past few months. I recently lost my mother to a long battle with COPD and was subsequently plagued with a bunch of minor health problems. But I'm better now & back full swing.
