I ride the XM5000Li (all electric) scooter to commute and anywhere that's under 15 miles. I ride the Majesty for fun and distances greater than 15 miles. :-)
The original reason for purchasing a scooter (August 2008) was to save gas and reduce emissions. It was an X-Treme XM3500Li. The XM3500Li has a maximum speed of approximately 43 MPH. I have since upgraded to the XM5000Li (2009) which has a maximum speed of approximately 58 MPH. (Both speeds are on level roads.) The maximum distance on a charge that I've ridden is approximately 45 miles.
The longest trip on the Majesty was approximately 1500 miles (Orlando Florida and back.) I saw a video on YouTube that shows the Majesty going over 100 MPH. I am able to go the speed limit on the interstate with no issues.
