I'm thinking about buying a 50cc Magnum scooter. Have you heard anything about this 50 cc Magnum scooter? Is it a good make?

by: scooter man

Carefully remove the front shield plate; find where the yoke; front fork meets the sterring rod;tighten the ,large bolt, use a large pliers, when you are done with this; see if handle bars are loose, by moving handle bars up and down; if loose, remove the plastic front; 5 screws; you will see a large bold going through the handle bar; using size 14 mm and or 17mm; tighten the handle bar; put all plastic back on; go riding; Thanks, Cars Plus 910-219-0050

50cc Magnum Scooter NEW
by: Joey

My son has a a Magnum 50cc sccoter. It only has 107 miles and the steering column is loose. It has a lot of play and seems like a bolt or something is loose. It is hard to get to because of the plastic housing. Can someone tell me is this is a common issue with these scooters and can it be fixed easily?

Yes, Buy It

Most Chinese scooters are generic and require nothing more than a good going over before they're put on the road. If you're buying from a dealer he'll do it for you. If you're buying from a flea market or online, you need to change the oils, check for loose nuts and bolts and unplug and replug all the electrical connections.

Battery Tender Junior in package

A battery tender like the Battery Tender Jr. can make all the difference in whether your scooter will start right up each spring, after being stored for months.

Just about every scooter owner needs to have a battery tender, sometimes called a trickle charger. Unless you are lucky enough to live in a climate where you can ride all year long, chances are your scooter will be put on ice, figuratively-speaking, for at least a couple months every winter.

One of the key steps in winterizing a scooter is to protect your battery from draining during its "rest" period. This can – and will – happen if you leave your battery sitting untended in your cold scooter over the winter, even if it's in a garage or shed.

Wondering why your scooter question never got posted?

Chances are, there is a good reason. Did you...

If you "checked yes" on any of the points above, then I've deleted your post. Sorry, but I have standards. Feel free to re-submit, following the instructions I have everywhere on the site.
