What could be causing my lack of power?

Driving my JMStar Mc-04 Adventure Scooter. Been fine for the last month. Went to WalMart and had a buzzing sound from the front 1/2 mile from store at a stop sign. Pressed brakes and went away (weird).

Stopped at store...came out to go home and I have no power/nothing. Checked battery cables/and charge and battery works fine. I get nothing... no lights/horn/ignition at all.

What else could it be if I don't even get anything and battery is good? I even bought a new battery just in case and that isn't the problem. HELP???

Thanks
Rob

No power

I have had that problem before on my old scooter. Try to start the scooter by jumping the solenoid. Cross the terminal sides to see if the motor will spin or start.

If it starts from that, then that's the problem. You will need a new solenoid. Good luck and I hope this helps you.

Battery Tender Junior in package

A battery tender like the Battery Tender Jr. can make all the difference in whether your scooter will start right up each spring, after being stored for months.

Just about every scooter owner needs to have a battery tender, sometimes called a trickle charger. Unless you are lucky enough to live in a climate where you can ride all year long, chances are your scooter will be put on ice, figuratively-speaking, for at least a couple months every winter.

One of the key steps in winterizing a scooter is to protect your battery from draining during its "rest" period. This can – and will – happen if you leave your battery sitting untended in your cold scooter over the winter, even if it's in a garage or shed.
