What are the quality and dependability of the Benelli Andretti x 50 scooter?

I would like to know about the quality and dependability of the Benelli Andretti x 50 scooter... are they dependable? Are there shops to work on these bikes and top speed?

STILL WAITING.... NEW
by: curt

Hi guys... My last comment about bad service in Albany Or. was in July. My M50 is still in the shop waiting on parts!! It turns out (Hmmm) that it was a bad fuel pump.... (not the "Computer"). I talked to a parts dealer (forgot where) that said body parts will never be able to be gotten here in America... and they didn't know about the fuel pump..... I'm thinking that I'll never see the bike again! Oh well... Does anyone know about benelli fuel pumps? I don't know what type I have. (is it "Internal" or "External"?) And does anyone know where there is one in stock????? =)

bad service in Albany Oregon NEW
by: Anonymous

I really like my M50...how ever...Albany Power sports in Albany Oregon does not have good service. I have owned my M50 since Feb 2014 and have been waiting for parts all this time! The scoot will not idle at all, if I have to stop the motor dies unless I am constantly giving it gas. The mechanic says "There is nothing we can do about that...It is 'the computer' and the weather temp. outside..." Um... EXCUSES... Soooo, the scoot is really !! Hard to start..and almost impossible if the bike has sat more than a day... It seems like a fuel flow problem. Any ideas???

Love my X50
by: Anonymous

I get tons of compliments down here in florida. I stay seeing around 48mph and its verified by sheriff radar...ha ha! The 2 stroke is very strong and I normally own cars off the line if they are launching normal...Way better then 4 stroke factory 49cc-50cc scooters. Finicky has been used to describe them but its not true, I got it 3 months ago new and i already have over 4 thousand miles on it and the valve lash was adjusted and its right back to stellar! It will make a grown man grin ear to ear.

Good Scooter. Bad Importer
by: Anonymous

My Benelli X50 is an impressive scooter, and I have owned many. It is fast, it is solid, it is a beautiful work of art. I love it.

What bothers me big time is the importer, Power Sports Factory, which shall be bankrupt soon, if not already. If you buy a Benelli, just make sure you get it from a top dealer who will take responsibility for the scooter and who will honor the warranty.

Thanks Chris... I'm thinking that is a straight x50 correct? Or x50i, just want the right one, it sure is a stylish looking bike that and speed is what I will have to settle for at least for another 2.5 years.

Top Speed Benelli x50
by: Chris

I own a Benelli X50. Great bike. Top speed for me is 47-48mph; with my 205lbs, this is great. My girlfriend can get hers up to 49-50mph but she is a lot lighter than I am, around the 120 range.
Even in a hard wind 43mph is the worst I have ever gotten.

As far as quality, the scooter shop in my town looked it over and loved it. Said it was nicer than anything on their floor. It has a 1e40qmb motor. Made by QJ. Top quality China manufacturer. I give it 5 stars. None of the stock 50cc keep up with us around here.

As far as getting someone to work on it, try a local scooter shop. If in Iowa, KS Power is great. Don't think about Yamaha, even though it is a clone of their motor; they are very proprietary. They will go as far as to call it cheap China (beep) even though it is more expensive that a Zuma.

Anyway, great bike, great looks, great ride. Very stable.

Good Scooter
by: Jim Zeiser

Benelli scooters are a first class act. They are made to higher standards than run of the mill Chinese scooters. You can only buy the Andretti line from a shop so at least you have someone to get it serviced and deal with to start out. As for for other shops in your area, you'll have to look it up. Top speed should be in the 35 to 40 mph category but check with a dealer. You won't regret this purchase.

Battery Tender Junior in package

A battery tender like the Battery Tender Jr. can make all the difference in whether your scooter will start right up each spring, after being stored for months.

Just about every scooter owner needs to have a battery tender, sometimes called a trickle charger. Unless you are lucky enough to live in a climate where you can ride all year long, chances are your scooter will be put on ice, figuratively-speaking, for at least a couple months every winter.

One of the key steps in winterizing a scooter is to protect your battery from draining during its "rest" period. This can – and will – happen if you leave your battery sitting untended in your cold scooter over the winter, even if it's in a garage or shed.

Read our review or go right to Amazon.com to buy this highly recommended Battery Tender Jr NOW...
