I love my Vespa GTV 250cc scooter! It is a 2007, and I have had no problems with it. It rides like a dream - the pickup is unbelievable - friends I ride with (motorcycles) can't believe how it moves up a hill.

I have no problem keeping up, and it handles great. I put on a little bigger windshield and added LED lights on the handlebars. This Vespa has a solid, comfortable ride with a great look. You get what you pay for!

Love Vespa
by: Sparky

I agree, I have a 2009 GTS 250ie and the GTV 250 is the bro to my GTS. They are both fine machines, they are quick and reliable.

My Mistake
by: Jim Zeiser

I must have been suffering from a short circuit in my memory banks. A Triumph Bonneville actually lists for $8799, almost $2000 more than the most expensive Vespa 300. But look at this
GS500F
MSRP $4,399
Copy and pasted from the Suzuki USA site this is the price of a 2009 GS 500F, the latest one they sell. At that price it's the same as a Vespa 150 ie. Now I ask you which do you think I'll buy? A 150cc scooter from Italy or a 500cc motorcycle from Japan? I know which is highway capable, carries two people and luggage easily and will cruise at 70 all day.

Nice Scoot
by: Jim Zeiser

Vespa 250s are reputed to be fabulous machines. At over $6000 for a 250 they should be. They're in the same price category as a 400 Burgman, numerous 500cc motorcycles and far and above the 250cc offerings from both Kymco and SYM. It might interest you to know that one of the 2009 250 Vespas lists for over $7000 or slightly less than a Triumph Bonneville, an 875cc two cylinder, fuel injected bike.

I'm glad you enjoy yours. But yes indeed, money talks.

by: Kathi

Thanks for the review, Debbie. Glad you're enjoying your scoot so much... they are fun, aren't they? And you must have nice motorcycle friends... some I know look down on scooters. Nice to know there are enlightened folks in the world too. :)

Battery Tender Junior in package

A battery tender like the Battery Tender Jr. can make all the difference in whether your scooter will start right up each spring, after being stored for months.

Just about every scooter owner needs to have a battery tender, sometimes called a trickle charger. Unless you are lucky enough to live in a climate where you can ride all year long, chances are your scooter will be put on ice, figuratively-speaking, for at least a couple months every winter.

One of the key steps in winterizing a scooter is to protect your battery from draining during its "rest" period. This can – and will – happen if you leave your battery sitting untended in your cold scooter over the winter, even if it's in a garage or shed.

Read our review or go right to Amazon.com to buy this highly recommended Battery Tender Jr NOW...
