Scooter Enthusiasts of Western New York
NOW Niagara River Scooter Club!

by Beth
(Tonawanda, NY, Erie Co.)

I am trying to start a Scooter Club in the Buffalo area of New York. There are two that already exist, that I know of, but they are not the kind of club I would fit into.

I have a couple friends who are more low key, easy going professionals who just like to get together for coffee and a ride through the park or by the river on a Sunday. No leather, skulls and partying.

If there are more people interested in a casual Scooter Club that meets once a week and just hangs out to talk about common interests and a leisurely ride on a sunny day, send me a reply.

Happy Scootering!

Hi Guys -
The NRSC has been growing and we are posting rides on the website. If you stop by meeting or just show up for the rides, you will have the opportunity to add yourself to our email list. Or you can email me @
We are on Facebook (Niagara-River Scooter-Club) and for Jim - we have started a "Southtowns Chapter" which will meet in Blasdell. We share the same website, forum, email and Facebook page so anyone can join in on ANY ride posted. Check out the website for more info.

Just looking for someone to ride with!
by: Jim

I am just looking to ride with a group of people that enjoy riding something that does not wake up the dead. Riding with two wheels on the ground.

I live in the southern tier I hope thats not a problem. Maybe I can convince everyone to take a ride down to jamestown and we all could ride around the lake.

Picking Up Speed

Thanks Dave!

We get the occassional new person at the meetings and so far have 10 on the email list. I am going to see if we can all get together for a group shot with our scooters soon. Maybe April. Darlene from the Bee wants to do an article on our club and I know it would bring in more riders! It would go into all the papers throughout Erie County. Can't WAIT for Spring to get here! Looking forward to seeing you at the next meeting! Bring Dan - he is welcome too!

Summer rides
by: Dave

Hi Beth! Dave here, Dan's friend. You are doing a great job! More interest will show as the weather gets nicer. Niagara County has some beautiful rides awaiting, nice scenery and always a nice icecream stand to stop at! I like riding to Lake Ontario on a warm summer day,. I have three scooters, a Yamaha Majesty 400, a 1980 Vespa 200 and a 1958 Vespa 125 I am working on now. Hope to make the Sunday meeting.

We have named our Scooter Club. Since we are generally in close proximity to the Niagara River, we are calling it:

Niagara River Scooter Club!

Hope to get in some scenic rides and post them on Youtube.

Battery Tender Junior in package

A battery tender like the Battery Tender Jr. can make all the difference in whether your scooter will start right up each spring, after being stored for months.

Just about every scooter owner needs to have a battery tender, sometimes called a trickle charger. Unless you are lucky enough to live in a climate where you can ride all year long, chances are your scooter will be put on ice, figuratively-speaking, for at least a couple months every winter.

One of the key steps in winterizing a scooter is to protect your battery from draining during its "rest" period. This can – and will – happen if you leave your battery sitting untended in your cold scooter over the winter, even if it's in a garage or shed.

Read our review or go right to to buy this highly recommended Battery Tender Jr NOW...

ATTENTION! I have had to delete the Scooter Forum for this site, unfortunately. Despite my best efforts, I could not adequately prevent daily attacks by hackers and spammers. Even though most of their posts did not go public, they still cluttered up my website host's server space, jeopardizing my account. I appreciate everyone's contributions over the past few years and I apologize for having to do this.

Wondering why your scooter question never got posted?

Chances are, there is a good reason. Did you...

If you "checked yes" on any of the points above, then I've deleted your post. Sorry, but I have standards. Feel free to re-submit, following the instructions I have everywhere on the site.

Also... all submissions have to be reviewed by me, and I am currently backlogged. Comments go live without approval, but still take 30 to 60 minutes to show up, so don't repost them, please.
