I love my Buddy!

by Judy Cobb
(Austin, Texas)

This is such a cool scooter! The lines and molding are way cool! It has lots of pep and is just a joy to ride. I've owned scooters before and this is the best. When I'm riding it, I am proud to be the owner.

Heads turn and I've even been given some "thumbs up" at traffic lights. I live in Austin Texas... this town has LOTS of scooters and I'm so proud to be on my Buddy. With mild weather and wide streets, it's the perfect alternative to driving a big fat, gas eating car!

I can go a month without fueling up... when I do, it's all of $5.00! YES!!

If and when I move on, it's going to be another Genuine scooter.

I Feel You...
by: Kathi, Site Owner

Thanks for the review, Judy! I know exactly how you feel about your Genuine Buddy scooter because that's how I feel about mine. :)

My daughters live in Austin, TX, so I also know how perfect your weather normally is for scooter riders (not counting your recent snow & ice storms). I've been trying to talk them into buying scooters, but they're former Jersey Girls and they love driving high speeds on all the interstates down there, so won't consider it.

They don't know what they're missing, do they?

If you're ever in Whole Foods downtown, stop into the candy counter and say hi to my daughter, Jenn. She's the super cute one starting to pop (she's in her second trimester of pregnancy). Tell her I sent you. :)

By the way, there's always a ton of scooters, Buddies included, parked in the garage at Whole Foods whenever I've been there.

What color Buddy do you have? (Mine is the avocado/cream Series Italia.)

Battery Tender Junior in package

A battery tender like the Battery Tender Jr. can make all the difference in whether your scooter will start right up each spring, after being stored for months.

Just about every scooter owner needs to have a battery tender, sometimes called a trickle charger. Unless you are lucky enough to live in a climate where you can ride all year long, chances are your scooter will be put on ice, figuratively-speaking, for at least a couple months every winter.

One of the key steps in winterizing a scooter is to protect your battery from draining during its "rest" period. This can – and will – happen if you leave your battery sitting untended in your cold scooter over the winter, even if it's in a garage or shed.

Wondering why your scooter question never got posted?

Chances are, there is a good reason. Did you...

If you "checked yes" on any of the points above, then I've deleted your post. Sorry, but I have standards. Feel free to re-submit, following the instructions I have everywhere on the site.
