Maybe Not for You...
by: Kathi, Site Owner

Hey Scuddha... I'm not really sure how to answer, as I don't have tons of experience with different scooters to compare to my Genuine Buddy.

Yes, I DO feel it when I go over a pothole, manhole cover or speed bump. After all, it's just a small two-wheeler scooter. I do find though that the seat cushions the shock pretty well... though I don't have the delicate body you refer to. I'm pretty tough! haha

Seriously, though, you might look into one of the scoots that have larger wheels... I'm guessing they'll weather bumps better. SYM makes scooters with 16" wheels (I think that's the size) and I believe Kymco does as well. They might be larger bikes than a 125/150cc though.

Good luck... Kathi

Comfort
by: Scuddha Buddha

Question: how is this scoot for vibration and road impact (potholes and bad city streets)? I have a slightly delicate body now in my late 50's. Airhawk II seat pad has not done the job for me (yet) on my Yamaha Vino 49 cc. Your thoughts?

You Know It...
by: Kathi, Site Owner

I know what you mean, Judy, but unfortunately it's not spring here yet. I did get out one day on my Buddy, but it's cold again now. Yesterday it snowed hard, though it's all melted already.

Starting to look like spring, but definitely no warm breezes in my hair yet! (haha)

I LOVE my Buddy!
by: Judy Cobb

I'm so excited with spring in the air.
Nothing like the wind in my air and my buddy purring like a kitten!
Life is good!

Not Sure...
by: Kathi

Eric, There is definitely not room under the seat, unless maybe your laptop is mini size. The topcase, I'm not sure, as I don't own one. My advice is to take your laptop shopping with you and try it out!

Storage space
by: Eric

Do you think that there is room to store a laptop in the underseat storage? How about in the top box. Thanks, I am glad I found this page.

Battery Tender Junior in package

A battery tender like the Battery Tender Jr. can make all the difference in whether your scooter will start right up each spring, after being stored for months.

Just about every scooter owner needs to have a battery tender, sometimes called a trickle charger. Unless you are lucky enough to live in a climate where you can ride all year long, chances are your scooter will be put on ice, figuratively-speaking, for at least a couple months every winter.

One of the key steps in winterizing a scooter is to protect your battery from draining during its "rest" period. This can – and will – happen if you leave your battery sitting untended in your cold scooter over the winter, even if it's in a garage or shed.

Read our review or go right to Amazon.com to buy this highly recommended Battery Tender Jr NOW...

Chances are, there is a good reason. Did you...
