Do you know where I can find a brochure for a Bashan scooter?

Bashan BS48Q-2

Bashan BS48Q-2

The Bashan BS48Q-2 is the scooter that I am referring to. I was at my bank the other day and this guy pulled up on one and I fell head over heels for this scooter, because of the many great features, like: It had all a headlight, turn-signals, brake light, and horn. It had a transmission that allowed for shifting, which is particularly important because this bike has a 49cc engine - which is my favorite feature because in my state I will not have to insure or register the bike (not to mention that it will get about 110-120 miles per gallon).

Weather permitting, this bike will be perfect to take to work (I live close to my job), to run to the local market for bread/milk, or to run by my bank's ATM for some cash.

Anyway, I'm looking for a link or address that I can contact to get a brochure for one of these bikes. I've almost talked myself into buying one, and I think a brochure will seal the deal. This is a Chinese bike, so contacting the manufacturer for a brochure is out of the question. Also, I'm in the Midwest, and bike dealers on either coast (East or West) that I have found on the internet don't offer literature and I can't find an email address to contact one of the dealers. Does anyone know where I can get a pamphlet/literature for this bike? Thank you.

Do you know where I can find a brochure for a Bashan scooter? NEW

A 150 cc scooter can get you upwards of 50 mph + possibly 60. In the majority conditions one brake would stop you. But stopping fast strength is a problem.

Jim Zeiser is your ticket...

Chris, Have you seen Jim Z's posts here on the site? He owns the Bashan you're looking at, I think:

I don't know if Jim knows where to get a brochure, but I DO know he highly recommends the dealer he got the Bashan from and he can also tell you all about it from his firsthand experience.

If Jim doesn't reply here, comment back & I'll see if I can put you in touch with each other...

Battery Tender Junior in package

A battery tender like the Battery Tender Jr. can make all the difference in whether your scooter will start right up each spring, after being stored for months.

Just about every scooter owner needs to have a battery tender, sometimes called a trickle charger. Unless you are lucky enough to live in a climate where you can ride all year long, chances are your scooter will be put on ice, figuratively-speaking, for at least a couple months every winter.

One of the key steps in winterizing a scooter is to protect your battery from draining during its "rest" period. This can – and will – happen if you leave your battery sitting untended in your cold scooter over the winter, even if it's in a garage or shed.

ATTENTION! I have had to delete the Scooter Forum for this site, unfortunately. Despite my best efforts, I could not adequately prevent daily attacks by hackers and spammers. Even though most of their posts did not go public, they still cluttered up my website host's server space, jeopardizing my account. I appreciate everyone's contributions over the past few years and I apologize for having to do this.

Wondering why your scooter question never got posted?

Chances are, there is a good reason. Did you...

If you "checked yes" on any of the points above, then I've deleted your post. Sorry, but I have standards. Feel free to re-submit, following the instructions I have everywhere on the site.

Also... all submissions have to be reviewed by me, and I am currently backlogged. Comments go live without approval, but still take 30 to 60 minutes to show up, so don't repost them, please.
