I have 3 scooters: 1985 Honda Elite 250, 2002 Honda Silver Wing 600, 2010 Sunny Reverse Trike 150. I started on a scooter (Allstate Compact) when I was 14 years old. I am now, at 58, back to scooters because of health issues, and these days, I have fake feet; I am amputated below the knee on both sides, so I need controls on the handlebars.

I bought the Honda Elite 250cc scooter in 1991, the Honda Silver Wing scooter in 2005, and the the Sunny in 2010. My longest journeys thus far are Louisville, KY on the Elite for the Honda Hoot (415 mi one way) and Johnson City, TN for Inzane on the Silver Wing (391 mi one way). No long trips on the trike (cruising speed is about 50 mph) but I may try one soon.

Sunny Reverse Trike NEW
by: Tim H

Hey Clifton
I am writing you from Winnipeg Manitoba Canada.
I am looking at one of the Sunny Reverse trikes myself and was wondering if you can give me some pros and cons

i realize the build quality is not 100% but I am pretty handy. anyway if you can let me know what issues you may have had etc etc etc.

I am very interested but as I would be ordering this scooter from the USA well it is a bit more involved for me

anyway any help appreciated..

if you want to email me that can be done too at
zakandsolo@gmail.com

thanks much

Reverse trike
by: Clifton

These trikes have some dodgy quality issues, and if you are not a fix-it-yourselfer, I am not sure I could recommend them. The Roketa and Ice Bear trikes are not reverse, but the general quality is better. Check

How's the Sunny reverse trike?
by: Will

I am moving from Chicago to San Diego. I work from home/travel but need an occasional trip out of the house and my wife uses our new Maxima. Instead of another car, I was debating a scooter. The Sunny 150cc trike looks great but I can't find many reviews (even on this site unfortunately). Any thoughts? recommendations? regrets? Thanks in advance!

Battery Tender Junior in package

A battery tender like the Battery Tender Jr. can make all the difference in whether your scooter will start right up each spring, after being stored for months.

Just about every scooter owner needs to have a battery tender, sometimes called a trickle charger. Unless you are lucky enough to live in a climate where you can ride all year long, chances are your scooter will be put on ice, figuratively-speaking, for at least a couple months every winter.

One of the key steps in winterizing a scooter is to protect your battery from draining during its "rest" period. This can – and will – happen if you leave your battery sitting untended in your cold scooter over the winter, even if it's in a garage or shed.

Read our review or go right to Amazon.com to buy this highly recommended Battery Tender Jr NOW...

Attention!

ATTENTION! I have had to delete the Scooter Forum for this site, unfortunately. Despite my best efforts, I could not adequately prevent daily attacks by hackers and spammers. Even though most of their posts did not go public, they still cluttered up my website host's server space, jeopardizing my account. I appreciate everyone's contributions over the past few years and I apologize for having to do this.

Wondering why your scooter question never got posted?

Chances are, there is a good reason. Did you...

If you "checked yes" on any of the points above, then I've deleted your post. Sorry, but I have standards. Feel free to re-submit, following the instructions I have everywhere on the site.

Also... all submissions have to be reviewed by me, and I am currently backlogged. Comments go live without approval, but still take 30 to 60 minutes to show up, so don't repost them, please.
