CF Moto Glory 150 EFI

CF Moto Glory 150 EFI

Here is my scooter review of my Chinese scooter, the CF Moto Glory 150 EFI...

What I Like:

  • Price ($2699)

  • Electronic Fuel Injection

  • Liquid Cooled

  • Front and Rear disk brakes - very responsive

  • Very solid "feel"

  • Very smooth and powerful

  • Fast, the speedometer tops out over 75mph but it is probably closer to a "real" 65 mph

  • Good looking very sporty

  • 2 year warranty and nationwide dealer network

  • Comfortable seating position

  • Large 14" alloy wheels

  • Large gas tank

  • Cool all digital LCD display

  • Good suspension

What I Dislike:

  • Lack of storage space... Emissions canister takes up most of the underseat compartment.

  • The cool LCD display is a little hard to see in very bright sunlight.

  • The speedometer seems to be a little optimistic.

In Summary:

I think that this scooter is in a whole other class than most Chinese scooters. This scooter seems to have the quality of a much more expensive scooter. I would definitely recommend this scooter for anyone looking to get into a high quality, high performance 150cc scooter for about $1000-$1500 less than a comparable Taiwanese scooter.

I have ridden many scooters and this is one of the smoothest scooters I have ridden even at wide open throttle there is not even the smallest shimmy or vibration. It is a lot of fun to ride. I give props to CF Moto for kicking it up a notch. I wish some of the other Chinese manufacturers would follow this example.

4000 mile review update
by: Anonymous

Well I have a little over 4000 miles and the Glory is holding up nicely. So far all I've had to replace is the rear tire because I ran over a nail. Replaced it with a pirelli diablo scooter tire and now it handles even better. At around 900 miles I had the valves adjusted. AT 2000 Miles I switched to Mobil 1 full synthetic oil. My drive belt still looks brand new which is pretty amazing because most "cheap" chinese scooters would have broken a belt by now. The belt in these bikes is actually the same size as the honda reflex 250 "906-22.5-30" and it is rated for 10,000 miles. This is a bike that I have no problem going on a several hundred mile ride. I can go out riding all day and the temperature gauge never goes past half even in the summer.
For the person whose dealer does not have the diagnostic scan tool to help them fix their scooter they should try to find another CF Moto dealer. My dealer had the scan tool when I bought mine almost a year and a half ago.

Find Another Dealer
by: Jim Zeiser

CF Moto has been selling Fuel Injected scooters for a couple of years. It sounds like your dealer's kidding you. Go to the CF Moto website and see if you can locate another dealer who should have the scanner.

Engine deceleration
by: Anonymous

After riding for about 20 minutes, the engine cuts back from speed (45mph) to about 25-30 mph. The dealer can't seem to determine the problem because they say that the diagnostic scanner tool needed is not yet available to them because this model is so new.
Does anyone know about why this scanner isn't available?
We've been without our scooter for almost a month, and can't seem to be fixed.
Even with all the positive comments, we can't even use ours.

Other Model

Don't forget that the E-Charm is also fuel injected and comes with 16" wheels for around the same price. I don't remember if the canister complaint holds true for the Charm so underseat storage might be better.

Battery Tender Junior in package

A battery tender like the Battery Tender Jr. can make all the difference in whether your scooter will start right up each spring, after being stored for months.

Just about every scooter owner needs to have a battery tender, sometimes called a trickle charger. Unless you are lucky enough to live in a climate where you can ride all year long, chances are your scooter will be put on ice, figuratively-speaking, for at least a couple months every winter.

One of the key steps in winterizing a scooter is to protect your battery from draining during its "rest" period. This can – and will – happen if you leave your battery sitting untended in your cold scooter over the winter, even if it's in a garage or shed.

Read our review or go right to Amazon.com to buy this highly recommended Battery Tender Jr NOW...
