Can you help with my fuel filter clogging issue on my Xingyue XY 260 scooter?

Seems I have an issue with fuel filters... I have to change them almost every other day. Is there an additive that I can use to break down whatever the heck is clogging it?
I have had this scooter for about two years and it literally has less than 300 miles on it because the darn filter always needs replacing. I wouldn't mind getting it good working if you think it's worth it.
I have seen other people around town with the same scooter as me so I know some people get to actually use theirs. The closest dealer who sells and services these things is about 100 miles away and last time I took it there, they had closed up shop.

I'm Back!
Yes, I have been noticeably absent from the site the past few months. I recently lost my mother to a long battle with COPD and was subsequently plagued with a bunch of minor health problems. But I'm better now & back full swing.
