Can you help me figure out why my scooter will not start?

I have a Chinese Xtreme 150 scooter and when I turn the key on, kick stand is up, kill switch is off, gas gauge goes up. I pull in the right brake to start it, and I lose battery power (the gas gauge goes down again).
I can hear a click when I pull the brake in. Where should I start looking for the problem? The battery is full charge. The fuse on the battery line is good. The horn won't work. When I turn on the blinkers... no blinking, just a high buzzing sound.
I took off the cover, and I don't see any wires amiss. This scooter ran fine yesterday...

I'm Back!
Yes, I have been noticeably absent from the site the past few months. I recently lost my mother to a long battle with COPD and was subsequently plagued with a bunch of minor health problems. But I'm better now & back full swing.
