Let them laugh at me
I'm happy I got my scooter.. I'm not sure anyone is paying attention... but I tend to MOD out all my vehicles. My 1967 Beetle has been rebuilt and repainted. My 2008 Dodge Caliber is currently being transformed into something better than it was intended to look like...
So when it comes to the lil scooter... I am thinking about making it better... right now I'm just happy that it is working out so well for me. I've been driving it all over the place on nice days and to work on nice days... soon driving it to work almost everyday so I can keep the miles off my Dodge. (Believe it or not, I am in a forum for that too, a member of the Caliber forums)
You can see all my vehicles in that picture up above... the VW is inside the garage. I rode my scooter today because it got up in the low 70s. I had to mess with the idle screw because it was acting like it was going to stall when I sat at the stop signs and red lights. I think I got it where it works now...
The headlight doesn't dim when it sits at the red light. I'm still getting poked fun of when someone asks if I rode the scooter to work... but when I say yes I did and smile, they don't seem to want to say anything bad anymore... (They've been asking me if I rode the scooter on days it is raining or icy)
That's when they laugh... when I say NO... it's raining... I have to remind them I do own two more vehicles... so they won't be laughing... Someday they'll get used to the idea.
Until then... I will give the anti scooter lovers the eye... they won't be laughing long... adios for now

A battery tender like the Battery Tender Jr. can make all the difference in whether your scooter will start right up each spring, after being stored for months.
Just about every scooter owner needs to have a battery tender, sometimes called a trickle charger. Unless you are lucky enough to live in a climate where you can ride all year long, chances are your scooter will be put on ice, figuratively-speaking, for at least a couple months every winter.
One of the key steps in winterizing a scooter is to protect your battery from draining during its "rest" period. This can – and will – happen if you leave your battery sitting untended in your cold scooter over the winter, even if it's in a garage or shed.

Chances are, there is a good reason. Did you...
